Guinness Draught Pouring into a Glass by Alex Meyer for Flow Visualization 2013

I chose this video of a Guinness Draught being poured into a glass as it shows turbulent flow in the fluid as it slowly transitions into laminar flow. It also does an excellent job of showing the shear/frictional forces from the glass boundary layer acting on the fluid. The entire video is simply entrancing from a visual point of view, and I appreciate the gradient from dark amber to light amber.

Second Place. Watching the flow turn from turbulent to laminar in seconds makes for an incredible visual.

How can you not like this video! I have always loved watching the Guinness bubbles settling after the pour. This flow is #1 in my book.
