Steel nuts were heated and dropped directly into water, creating turbulence and steam within the water.

I like the idea behind this picture and I think it looks cool. I think it would be cool if you could get a picture at water level. I think that would look really cool.

My attention is on the mechanical nuts, which show flow motion in their own macro way; it does not suggest to me that the water is boiling, just faintly sploshing. Maybe color the water or use opalescence / glitter? You could use things that are cooking, like actual edible nuts. Although I do like the mechanical aesthetic.

Great idea and execution. I higher shutter speed could take a better still however.

This image is very interesting. The different hardware falling into the water certainly catches the eye. The focus could use some work, but overall, nice image!

I really like the uniqueness of this image. It adds some visual flare with the nuts being dropped into the water.

I bet a video would be really neat of this, especially with some more intense lighting to catch the steam.

I like the effect being shown, but a faster shutter speed here would do a lot of justice to seeing this more. Great focus, however!

The parts where you see the steam coming off of the bolts is really cool. The motion blur shows the motion well.

I like the industrial feel of the image. Being able to see the boiling and steam a little more would be nice, a larger depth of field could help.

I like the idea the fluid is with bunch of nuts. I think that it would be great if you dye the fluid to make bubbles clear.

I like the dynamic nature, and the shapes present in the water. I think focusing on the region of the water with the nuts more closely would provide for a more cohesive shot.

I find the container to be a little bit distracting. I wonder if the physics would be revealed more clearly if you used only a single nut.

I like the idea of the picture. I think to get more focus on the water and the action inside you might want to concider a larger container and more water.

Love the vision and concept. I wonder if you could have made the bolts red hot.. that would have been really interesting and probably caused more steam. More contrast would be great too.

Good exposure and effect. Maybe adjust the lighting and/or color correction to help pop the color out

Very nice image. The sloshing in the picture is well captured and the motion blur helps show the motion in the image. The image might be improved either by addin color, or converting to black and white.

This composition is highly active, I really enjoy the fluid disturbance happening at the moment of impact, the steam is subtle and adds to the activity in the photo.

Very nice aesthetic. I like the subtle color scheme, however the steam is a bit difficult to see. A darker background could possibly make it more visible. I like that you can see some boiling effects in the water itself.

The concept is interesting and I’ve never seen this effect captured. A crop may help focus our attention to the fluid rather than falling bolts.

It was a little hard for me to tell what’s happening at first. That the water is boiling is super subtle.

Interesting photo, I think having deeper water would make it easier to see the actual fluid boiling. Right now most of the focus of the image is on the glass vessel and the nuts.

This is a cool image. It is cool to see something causing water to boil from the inside rather than boiling on a stove. I think it could be cool to focus in on a smaller section.

Great image, nicely framed and with subtle coloring and a nice background, however it is somewhat difficult to tell what is going on with regards to the fluid behavior due to the blurriness of the image. The focus is fine but the shutter speed could be increased to achieve better time resolution. I like how the motion blur allows you to see the motion of the nuts, but again it makes it a little difficult to tell what is going on.

The white background to this picture was a good idea because it makes the nuts and water the focus of the image. The shutter speed could be changed to make the photo less blurry. Overall, interesting picture.

I would think of getting a different angle for the shot to highlight the flow. I can’t tell if the disturbance in the liquid is caused through heat or just basic splashing. The shot is dynamic and simple which is nice.
