Tanner Wismer – Team First

This picture depicts food coloring in milk. First, I added four drops of yellow, red, blue, and green food coloring to the milk, then used a Q-tip dipped in dish soap to make the food coloring expand in the milk. Once the food coloring was fully spread throughout the milk, I added some peppermint chocolates to make a smiley face for fun :).

I love the way that there is a mix of colored beads and also nice, organic swirls. There are multiple flows that you can see here and that makes the photo much more interesting to look at. The focus is great and the framing is nice, I always enjoy seeing photos of flows on a small scale.

    Milk, plate, food dye
I really like the vivid colors, one can see the mushroom clouds of the colors. I wonder how the candies got their strange texture? Peppermint sprinkles? Very sharp!

Colorful! The peppermints are kind of a disturbing color, but It’s a strong composition and interesting flow of food dye!

I really like the colors, the image is very “violent” (even though that’s clearly not the case given the candies haha). I think the artificial wakes you induced really benefitted the image.

The flow around the chocolate in the top left corner looks interesting. I wonder if it would be useful to attempt a similar picture with a more uniform velocity.
