The clay slip stirring was wild and hypnotizing! It was all yellow! The colloidal suspension of clay in water looked very viscous. The two mirrored images added to the experience. You kept the focus on the flow visualization – with the bubbles and sloshing. The sounds of the clay slopping were awesome, but music could add to the experience.

This is certainly in interesting video. I haven’t ever seen clay being mixed like this. The color and focus are on point here. Really nice job!

The mirrored image is really cool. The swirled patterns on the surface are enticing, and I like that you can see the paddles that are creating the fluid motion. Playing around with different sounds/music could change the effect.

    Really nice
    Flow
This was a cool coloidal suspension demonstration. I think you’ve got a great point to make about this being a “sweet spot” of viscosity. I really like the drops and curves. You might want to also check out aeration, that is a big driver of these physics. Maybe something like this? https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1674237015301526
    Photographic Technique
The mirroring was brilliant. The cropping for composition was a fantastic decision.

art: So beautiful and satisfying, it feels like a strangely-satisfying video.
flow; gorgeous and so well captured.
Technique: very nicely post-processed, the one thing I’d say is to consider your font choice. Such an elegant video should have a really elegant font.

The mirror effect of this video worked well the move attention moving around the frame. Did you consider slowing down the video down to capture more of the intricacies?

Do you think the physics are confused when you mirror the video? The graphics are stunning. I wonder what other flows you could create with clay slip…

Awesome work, the focus and exposure is perfect. I was confused at first by how symmetrical it is but after learning it was mirrored it makes sense. Mirroring and changing the color really makes it visually pop.

Very nice effect. I loved how random the swirling was was. The smooth and silkiness of the liquid just adds to the video!

The yellow color is really beautiful to see. I really like how you edit video. What I like is you erased the body of blender and make the video symmetric.

The mirroring effect is very trippy in the video. I think it emphasized the unique flow of the clay.

The bright color and rapidly changing flow are very fun to look at. I also enjoy the mirroring effect, but sometimes it gets a bit confusing/distracting. All in all, I thought the visuals we’re very unique, with nice composition and focus.

Really interesting follow. The interaction between the lighting and the clay really helps highlight the flow patterns. The mirroring also helps improve the video

Love this one, the slow motion was very tasteful. Didn’t drop the motion so slow that the lack of frames in between becomes apparent. I think a bit of music would make this great! As it stands, the humming of the mixer is mildly offsetting.

This is really cool. The mirror effect you added was subtle but very interesting. I looks almost animated and the slow motion vs fast is a very nice effect as well.

The resulting vortical patterns from stirring the clay slip are highly fascinating, aesthetically pleasing, and provoke additional contemplation. The physics here are clear and definitely fun to look at.

The colorization really allows the fluid flow to be observed and adds to the aesthetics of the image, and the mirroring adds a very interesting effect. Have you considered replacing the recorded sound with music?

  • This is awesome, I love the mirroring effect. I also like how vibrant the yellow is, I also like that you can very easily see all of the disturbances in the flow even though it’s all the same color, I think that makes it a little more interesting.
