Michael Sandoval – Cloud Second

Michael Sandoval – Cloud Second

Cloud captured in Grand Junction, Colorado on March 28th. Conditions were stable. My guess for this cloud is stratocumulus based on low pinch in the Skew-T. Wind was coming from the North at fairly high speeds.

In that center cloud, I see Donkey Kong’s face pointing up and to the right. It’s so interesting how I recognize that.

The gradient of the white to blue leading into that middle clouds is a nice contrasting effect.

Nice job. The two structures that make up the centered cloud are so detailed.

Great image, it is framed nicely, though the central cloud is not quite in the center of the image so you might consider cropping the right edge to center it.

I like this because it looks like two planes of clouds in the background making a V holding up the main cloud in the middle. Good focus on the middle cloud as well.

I like how round and small the cloud at the center of the image is. Great job framing and balancing the image.

Nifty little cloud, Like the colors in the image combined with the thinner sheets of clouds.

What do you think caused this cloud to separate from the larger clouds beneath it?

I like the coloring that you got in your image. The isolation of the one cloud in the middle looks really nice. I might try to get some other information in the image to give the viewer an idea about what is going on.

I like the wispy clouds in the background, they make the gradient of color more natural.

Nice color in the sky and I like the wispy clouds around the main puffy cloud. Maybe try to employ rule of thirds to this photo so the small puffy cloud isn’t right in the middle.

I like how isolated this cloud seems. It is actually pretty cute. The blue sky is also really nice.

Good cloud framing. I like the contrast between the more solid and more wispy clouds.

The higher clouds on the edge of the image frame the cumulus nicely.
