The photo above is a beautifully aesthetic visual of wintip vortices  and wake turbulence. The phenomenon occurs when low pressure above the air and high pressure below the wing meet and want to balance out naturally. This causes vortices to spiral from this Airbus A340’s wingtips. Usually, the a heavy aircraft like the Airbus A340 can create stronger and more prominent vortices than lighter aircrafts because the pressure differences are greater. To me, this picture represented a great representation of what I had learned in Fluid Dynamics, a different kind of inspiration apart from the numbers and theory of it all.
