A “perfect barrel” created by a surge of water running into a stationary plate and currling back on itself.

  • We set out to take a photo of a wave crashing and this is exactly perfect. I like the clarity, no color and the perfect wave shape.

Very cool setup however you got this wave-like flow. The black liquid against the white background is extremely effective

Very cool. The lack of food coloring definitely adds a sense of purity to the image. Well done.

Very distinct representation of a wave and how it reverts over itself. The details of the image are great. I wonder if eliminating a percentage of the right side of the image would change our center of attention on the wave. Did you take this photo at an angle at all?

The wave is in pristine condition. It’s very pleasing to look at!

The focus and sharpness of the image is really nice! I like the light gradient from dark at the bottom to lighter at the top.

This is a beautiful capture. The image has great clarity and is in focus. I like the small splash formation in the lower right of the wave. Good job editing and cropping the image.

The wave pressure made a unique water curve. The well-composed lighting colored the liquid at buttom into black. Clean and beautiful image

This is the epitome of a wave. This is exactly what I imagine when I think of a wave. I like how you guys all used different varieties of color in the water. I like how this one is plain, because it really emphasizes the shape of the wave without any extra fluff. The darkness under the water is also really cool. It seems like this was taken in the ocean.

This is very interesting! I think you could crop the left side of the image a bit more to focus more on the flow

The time resolution in this image is absolutely fantastic. I really like how you can see the entire curvature of the wave, and the smaller splash at the bottom. The metallic color is fantastic.

Very cool visualization of a wave and it’s very crisp and clear. I think if you cropped out some of the contraption and either increased the contrast or made all the dark area under the wave the same white as the background it could look very cool. Looks great though.

This is a really cool wave! Really like the stark contrast between the edges of the wave almost makes it 2 dimensional image. Is there a reflection from the tank what is the stuff below the main part of the wave? How wide is the flume?

This is a great image of the flow motion captured by the wave. You might consider cropping the image to remove the left wall. You might be able to increase the contrast after the side bar is removed.

I like the image because its cool how the wave is basically a replication of the ones you see in the ocean. my only suggestion would be to try an edit the left side of the picture to avoid the wall.

I really like the simplicity of this image, the fact that there is no color makes it really nice to look at. I would only suggest cropping out whatever is in the background on the far left.

  • I love that this image captures the beauty of waves crashing. One suggestion would be to edit out the wall (I think) in the top left corner. Otherwise this is very cool!

Very cool snapshot in time, looks like a wave one would see in the ocean. Without the food die the picture is much calmer and clean
