  • It is perfect to show the movement of the flow. It goes to the left leaves a beautiful trail. It is so rare to see a perfect 2D image of it.

Awesome image dude! the vortex rings are crystal clear!

A really nice image. I am really impressed by how the votices form so perfectly. You might consider cropping some of the image down to focus on the flow.

I love the vortexs! It seems like the wormhole in universe and the unique light green enhance this sense. Really innovative design to employ the laser in the experiment!

Good work capturing this image! Pretty unique visualization to be able to see the cross-section of a smoke ring. Same comment as the other teammates though, I think some cropping could really do the image some artistic justice.

This looks like it was well worth all the time and work it took. I like the ‘bubble’ of smoke second from the left, it feels like this was taken at the bottom of an alien ocean, and the spirals are really clear. I do really like seeing all the smoke in one photo, it adds some motion and makes it more interesting to look at.

I like how well the laser highlights the spirals in the vortexes. The green color along with the black background look very nice as well. I think it might be a bit more effective as three separate images to isolate the three main puffs of vapor. It looks a little busy with everything going on in the picture.

Love some cool LASER application. The cross section of the vortex ring is really cool. Interesting physics going on. Well done.

I admire your persistence with how many photos you took trying to capture a unique flow situation. The picture turned out well and the neon gives a great psychadelic vibe.

Cool! You captured the vortex’s which sounds like it was really challenging to do. This is very cool, nice job!

This is a beautiful image. Great job capturing a challenging phenomenon. I really like the upper two formations but the left formation doesn’t seem to add a lot to the image. Have you tried zooming in on the upper two formations to better fill the frame and alter the composition?

This image is so awesome, it happens to actually be the type of photo I originally wanted to attempt! I love how you captured the curls of the vortex ring quite nicely.

This is awesome! Nice job with the colors (the green makes it feel very sci-fi or alien). But the end result is very, very cool.

The like green colors makes this photo very visually appealing. I like how you could see the rings mirror one another and create that spiral effect

I really like this image. I like how you made the set up more complex by using lasers for lighting. Makes the image more exciting. Very impressive having such a sharp image of a flow that is changing pretty rapidly.

Really like the green! How did you get such crisp coloring? Really enjoy the circular imagery of the image.

Nice color contrast between green and black. The shape of the flow looks amazing. The multi-layer is great choose.

Awesome contrast. You can see in the far left image the laminar flow that turns into two eddy currents. Did you try different size rings?

I like this image a lot, it appears as there is little smoke O’s traveling through he air in sequence. I also like the fact that used a laser to illuminate the O’s.

Like the very vivid green color that can be seen, it is drawn out by a nice contrast with the background. Unusual spacing of the photo, peculiar to look at.

  • This image is very nice, it reminds me of a scene from a sci-fy movie. I feel like it might have been helpful to edit out the other illuminated smoke and only keep the vortex ring but I do like being able to see multiple different shapes.
