    I think it would improve the image if the water’s flow didn’t cross a light-to-dark background transition; perhaps move the camera lower down to be nearly parallel to the table?

    Great job capturing this laminar flow, I know that’s not easy. I think a different direction of lighting might help draw attention more towards the stream rather than the vessel.

    The depiction of the laminar flow is quite nice! I like the contrast and the slight change to turbulent flow at the bottom is quite nice.

    I like the right hand side of the picture showing the water hit the table. More lighting would really accentuate that.

    I’ve seen some “laminar flow nozzles” where people constructed a nozzle to smooth out the flow on a larger scale, in the even that you wanted to experiment with this as a bigger stream.

    Permissioned Opinion: Background.
    Using a lighter background through the entire stream would help highlight the flow better, as the bottom half of the stream you only see the reflection and not the actual stream.

    Did you consider a larger hole? The flow is very laminar. Maybe consider using color
