Great idea to excite the fluid using a woofer. And good job experimenting with the viscosity of the fluid (by adding milk to latex paint) until it did exactly what you wanted it to do. I really like the use of lighting and shadows to dramatizes the reaction of the woofer vibrating the fluid, creating a cylinder of fluid on the edges that looks like a crown. The main focus is on the “mountainous” area in the middle. Good use of soft light blue dye, but I like the additional coloring you added as well. Again, it’s not fully mixed in the milk and paint which creates a cool tracking effect. Nice job!

Cool idea for a flow vis photo. I like the colors that were used. The paint topography in the center and along the back edge is interesting. I actually like the area in the back where the paint has splashed off of the speaker. If I were to change one thing I’d prefer the speaker to be centered and for the frame to not be at an angle to the horizon.

Wow! This is really stunning! I love the colors and the details. The fluid is really frozen in time.

Wide range of colors that helps with the contrast and the aesthetics of the image. Fluid flow is clearly seen. Beautifully done.

Really great photo. The amount of dye is great. The focus is really crisp. I don’t think cropping is a good idea.

The focus of this photo is exceptional. The color patterns are visually quite appealing along with the shading as a result of the dramatic lighting. I love the splashes and splatter around the edge of the speaker.

The contrast between the fluid and the dark background lends to the exciting waves and dramatic colors in the image, well done. The focus is sharp from front to back and this lends to the overall quality of the image as well, good use of strategic blurring on the outside to bring the viewers focus inward.

Wow I really enjoy the variety of colors and the overall image. Its very interesting how parts of the speaker is still and the center is very unstable. The waves in the center are pleasant to see.

Really like the colors and the dramatic effect the light has. The blur was a good idea, it definitely leads the eye back to the center.

I think the colors work well and the smearing of the paint throughout is very interesting. The blur does a good job of making the paint crisp and in focus. Maybe you could crop the back.

Love the colors so much in this! Love how you can see the whole circular speaker, gives the excited fluid a nice frame. Blurring the background was a good idea, really draws eye to the center of the photo. Photo is crisp and lighting is perfect. Awesome pic!

I love how much color was captured in this image. The angle as which the photo was taken, showing the background makes the picture feel large. Leaving the perimeter of the speaker in the photo was a great move.

Great photo and flow, with some awesome smooth textures that really bring out the colors in your picture. I like the shallow depth of field with a nice sharp focus on the center. You did a great job of isolating the action. I also like that you can see the paint splashing away from the outside of the speaker.

    – Great image here!
    – I really like the color combination and shadows in the background it really provides a nice sense of depth.
    – Only critique would try to make it look more symmetrical in post processing, the waves in the far top right background area seem a little distracting.

I really like how the sides of the pool are still and seem like they are being sucked in towards the center. the contrast of colors works very well for the image. nice shadows on the flow to provide a texture.
