Great job thinking on your feet and putting alcohol through highlighters to get a fluorescent dye, then capturing it in a “flavor blaster” syringe. I really like the Worthington Jet you captured, that part of the image is in great focus. I also really like the editing you’ve done to change the coloring in this image from greens and yellows to a deep red. The color and shape of the fluid in the glass looks like a heart (like the actual organ, not the valentine’s day heart shape). Great job!

Nice timing catching the Worthington Jet. I like the red color you chose in post processing the image although the green spots kind of ruin it for me. There is software out there that will do color replacement that I think would fix the problem.

The image looks like fire! really great job with the focus. I like the details visible in the glass. The rim of the glass is a little distracting, but I’m not 100% sure how to edit that out.

Awesome photo, think it was a really good idea to crop bottom out. Gives the photo mystery, especially with the bright red. The worthington jet is a nice touch too.

Nice photo! It’s a little grainy, but it sounds like there wasn’t much you could do about that given the lighting conditions. It seems like your focus is more on the jet and less on the fluorescence, perhaps you could have gotten this effect more effectively with better lighting and not trying to do a fluorescent scene.

Great Worthington jet, as it displays flow. The red contrasts well with the background. Aesthetically pleasing.

Cropping out the bottom of the glass was a great choice artistically. You did a great job capturing the Worthington jet.

Art: The color contrast between the background and the jet is well done, I really like the use of the red.
Flow: The flow is quickly understandable and recognized.
Photographic technique: The focus on the water jet is perfect.

Awesome snapshot of droplet. I really like the neon look these colors give.

Love the mysterious feeling of this photo! The mixing below the jet is interesting. The flow is displayed well although the surroundings are blurry.

Great capture of the worthinton jet. I also like how the jet separated the the droplet. Great focus and I like how the glass is cropped out. The background seems to be too grainy so I would try and clean that up just a tad.

The low light scenario is really difficult because of the ISO problems. I think you might have encountered that. Very cool flow.

Worthington jet and mixing very vibrant against the black background. ISO is a bit high with some image graininess. The yellow glow under the jet adds a really eerie effect, well done.

Great phenomenon shown! You did a great job catching that jet. Your ISO looks pretty high, but you did a good job sharpening up the image in post processing. The black background gives a moody effect to the photo, and I like the way we can see the mixing and the splash.

This is an excellent capture of the worthington jet. the little ball above the jet is an excellent addition and the mixing flow below with the red dye pouring down forever is really cool to see.

I like how other than the ring at the top the glass can barely be seen. Crazy how vertical the worthington jet was able to form.

Looks like lava in the glass, I love that you photoshopped out the glass.

    – Great photo, the red effect has a nice Halloween feel to it, the Worthingington Jet is a lot more visible in this photo.
    – I like how the photo shows the flow disappearing into the darkness!

Awesome capture! Great focus on the seperated droplet, and I like the fluorescence extending into the glass in a flume. Good editing to eliminate any distracting glass as well, and good lighting.
