I really like this image as it almost looks like we are watching a nuclear bomb go off on the horizon as the sun is setting. The dye plume and background is a cool contrast and great use of colors. The focus is on point and flipping the image upside-down was a good idea.

This photo is awesomely artsy; it almost looks like a painting. Cool usage of a wine glass and the vegetable oil, very very cool technique. Good representation of the flow.

    1. The warm colors of the image and textures are artistically wonderful.
    2. The flow is clearly illustrated.
    3. The photographic technique is fantastic with the contrast range of the blue.

This image has some really interesting color. What lighting did you use, and what did you do in post-processing to get the background color? cool technique to invert the image so it is “falling” upward

    – Great photo the colors are different from your normal primary colors.
    – It reminds me of a post apocalyptic scene in a movie.
    – Not sure what that middle blue-ish area is, but is a bit distracting from the overall photo.

Amazing use of image manipulation (180 degree rotation) to create the “tree” out of a colored-fluid plume. I’m sure this image took many attempts to capture the perfect focus and make the plume look as if it is a solid. I really like your lighting choice which made the shadow of the plume in the closest foreground. That mixed with the lighter background adds a sense of darkness or mysteriousness. The intent of having a flow look like a tree was absolutely realized! Great job. This is one of my favorite images in the 2016 Get Wet album.

Great colors in this photo. I really like the dark blue against the warm background colors. The focus is right on. The texture of the food dye in the water is great. The only improvements I can think of would be to widen the frame a little so that you catch the whole plume and work on your lighting to avoid the reflections off the glass.

I love how the image looks like a tree out of Dr. Seuss. The choice of coloring works very well together. A little of the detail is lost in the darker areas, and there is a reflection that distracts a little from the cloud. Great shot overall.

The colors are immersive. It is a beautiful image and the contrast you used makes the image peaceful yet mysterious. The fluid flow is easily recognizable and I think this was a good use of flipping the image upside down. Looks like a tree.

The colors of this photo are excellent. The lighting and depth of field of the photo is very nice. Also the inverted photo brings a unique perspective to the diffusion of the dye.

A good perspective was chosen. A flipped image actually showcases a different aspect of the image and a tree-like droplet is created. The red feels warm and the blue “tree” stands out. Cool and amazing!

Very detailed image. I like the choice of colors. The lighter background allows some of the flow to be transparent. Publishable quality.

Flipping the photo upside down was a great idea. The intent is displayed very will with the finished product looking like a tree. The background gives a natural feel also giving more focus to the tree.

Art: The color contrast between the food dye and the background is amazing. I really enjoy the lines of the food dye mixing into the water.
Flow: The flow is understandable and easily recognized.
Photographic technique: The focus and use of oil to slow down the mixing was really well done.

Nice contrast between the reddish background and the deep blue die. Interesting look from inverting the image. In the future possibly try and get a little more of the image in the photo, it would be nice to see the top of the “tree”.

Using a large wine glass allowed for a color gradient in the background. The fluid flow can be clearly seen. The red background and blue dye are definitely great color choices.

Beautiful picture. The colors are so interesting. Obviously the flow is great too but the colors are like nothing I have seen. The contrast is so interesting. The blue is so dark but so soft and the changing of the colors in the background contrasts it so well.

-Super interesting colors and texture, the matte look is really neat
-Plume of dye looks great and has lots of detail
-Using the wine glass really made this image unique, the refraction of the bottle makes a really cool effect
