Very well focused photo. The field instability was caught perfectly with great detail. The black and white also worked out super well.

I always enjoy looking at ferrofluids. The grayscale is nice and I like the feel of a flower it gives off.

Your usage of soft lighting, depth of field, and focus all work in tandem to create a pleasing image of a ferrofluid “flower”. Great choice to include a magnet near the center of the image. The physics of the normal field instability are quite clear.

The shapes in the image form a flower-like ferrofluid formation. The focus and contrast are both perfect.
