Clouds Second – Zachary Hinck

Clouds Second – Zachary Hinck

This photo was taken on 3/30/2018 while driving through Moab, Utah.  Skew t diagram below shows that the atmosphere was stable at the time the photo was taken.  These cirro cumulus undulatus clouds are rippled since they are relative high up in altitude where the atmosphere is turbulent.

Such dramatic wavy clouds! It’s neat how the stripes in the rocks echo the stripes in the clouds.

Beautiful photo. The road right down the middle is perfect and still has the main focus with the clouds. Great shot.

Great image, I love the vibrant colors and the framing is excellent. The top of the green road sign at the bottom left is a bit distracting, but I think the other signs add to the image, and the road provides a nice central focus point.

The foreground is amazing. The rocks frame the image nicely, and the cloud formations are really interesting. The mile marker is a little distracting

This is a beautiful photo. I love the repetition in the clouds and I like how much sky you captured in the image.
