This is an inverted image of a Rubens Tube while rock music is played through a speaker at one end. I thought the inversion of color added to the understanding of the fluctuation of density and color in the flame as it left the Ruben’s Tube. Below are two a non-color inverted GIFs of the reaction of the Rubens with audio waves.

Below are two a non-inverted GIFs of the reaction of the Rubens with audio waves. The gif above is is a slowed down version (1/4 time) of the interaction of the Rubens Tube flame with music. This gif is shot at the same angle as the image above.

The GIF above is a 1/4 speed recording of high pitch human sound being sung into the end of the Ruben’s Tube.

I love the color inversion. It gives it a different feeling than the other team photos.

The negative affects on the photo are really interesting, and lend to a dark, almost alternate universe undertones.

I love how vivid the blue hues are in this image. With the colors inverted, there’s an interesting grey “shadow” effect below the blue line.

I think the blue and white in the image give it a “clean” look, the same color scheme used in the marketing for many cleaning products and the pure white is simply very bright and un-tainted by and of the classic yellows and reds associated with flames. I also like the diagonal and the sense of depth you have from seeing the flames as large in the front and decreasing in size as you go along the diagonal.

I love the double meaning that can be interpreted from this photo. I would not have known this was a flame, at first glance it looks like a feather. I also love how you use a strong diagonal. Great image!

The inversion of colors makes for an interesting, very bright image. Some otherwise unseen details come through here.

I really like how the image came out with the inverted colors. The blue looks really good with the white background.

I think the coloring makes the flames look soft.

It’s interesting how the flames seem to group in pairs at the bottom left of the image, and the overlapping is almost an optical illusion.

Certainly gives the feel of sea creatures, and the inversion of the colors is really cool. Nice job!

The inversion was a really smart idea, it adds for a different element that we didnt see from your teammates pictures. It highlights different textures and just makes for a totally different picture.

It is interesting that you inverted the image. The bottom of each flame is interesting to see since it is normally orange or blue but here it appears see through and matches the background
