Super cool to see how this turned out, after seeing it in person! I love how analogous this is to airflow over a body, it almost looks like something in a wind tunnel. I think the use of monochromatic was a great idea!
So cool the way the liquid transitions from rough to smooth. As still as the image is, it really captures the flow and it’s distinguishable which direction the water’s flowing.
I’m glad you mixed it up with a cylinder, it’s interesting how sharp the initial deflection of the stream is.

The perspective in this image is really awesome, and is by far my favorite part of the image. I think that the cylinder was a great choice but you could have put any bluff body in the channel flow and it would have looked great with the point from where you took this image. The lack of pretty much any boundary line for the laminar side of the flow before the body is incredible.
I really like the contrast between the smooth water on the right and the turbulent water on the left.
At first I thought that the hook should be removed, but the more I look at it the more I like it. Without it the right side would be very empty.
I like the shadow effect on the edges of the photo. The flow is super neat as you see the transition from laminar to turbulence
I really enjoyed the lighting in this photo. It is brighter where all the action is and darker in spots not as important. The angle this was taken at is perfect to make the object in the middle appear two dimensional. Great job.
The use of the cylinder is really cool! I like the stark differences between the right and left sides of the image. It makes it super dynamic!
