This video was created through a collaboration between the Youtube Channels 3Blue1Brown and Physics Girl, which are run by Grant Sanderson and Dianna Cowern respectively. They were also joined by Dan Walsh, who is a frequent collaborator on the Physics Girl channel. This specific video was posted to the 3Blue1Brown Channel. In the video, they initially wanted to get a better look at vortex rings they were creating with an air cannon and fog. To accomplish this, they refracted the light from a green laser pointer so that it became a relatively uniform sheet of light and shined it through the room to visually see a cross section of how the fog moved around in the air. Rather than focusing on the vortex rings, 3Blue1Brown’s video dives into the ordinary air flow they witnessed as a byproduct.

This visualization of ordinary air flow is particularly mesmerizing to me, as it demonstrates the chaos of turbulence that is present under normal circumstances in everyday life. Its relatively simple setup created such artistically stunning results that I feel a pull to replicate it just to see it with my own eyes.

Third prize, I love 3Blue videos and wanted to post this as my own best of web! His simple explanation and creating an experiment that is very repeatable at home is an excellent representation of this classes upcoming assignment.
