Hot air flow over an airfoil using a two mirror schlieren set up. A boundary layer forms on the top surface of the airfoil where viscous affects slow the flow and produce a gradient in air density that can be seen using schlieren imaging.

The boundary layer on the top side of the airfoil in this image is really cool! I love how we can see it appear, expand, and disappear in the video when the airfoil moves up and down in the flow.
