This image was captured at 10:26 AM on October 26th, 2025. The image faces north-west, and was taken just below NCAR. The Skew-T reading plot for the closest weather station in Riverton, Wyoming can be seen below. The plot shows that the condensation level for loud formation is at about 5,000 feet in elevation. The Skew-T also indicates that the atmosphere is highly unstable. From these inferences we can estimate this cloud to be the bottom of an anvil shaped cumulonimbus.
