Great idea to excite the fluid using a woofer. I really like the use of lighting and shadows to show the slight spiral effect of the droplet, it dramatizes the reaction of the woofer vibrating the fluid. Good use of red dye on a darker background this time. It was probably pretty tough capturing this close-up image in good focus, but you captured both jets very well. It really does look like an alien coming out o red jell-o. Nice job!

The focus is great. It’s a little dark for my tastes, I think some lighting above/the side would give the flow shadows and make it more dramatic. The details and perspective are awesome.

The contrast and lighting is a bit poor. The flow is defined and interesting. A unique fluid flow.

A cool example of fluid dynamics but the poor image quality if a major detraction for me. I also personally preferred the image before it was darkened in post processing.

Love the alien goo effect! I thought that even before you mentioned that’s what you were going for. Picture is a little blurry but you can see the light on the liquid which is nice. Warm colors are nice.

The graininess may be attributed to high ISO. The contrast is good between the blood red color in the fluid vs the opaque, tan background. Faster shutter speed may help refine the edges more so.

Honestly, I think you can do a lot better. Your subject is blurred and very small, the photo is very dark, the background is uneven, focus is not sharp, and your depth of field is very shallow. There is also a lot of ISO noise. It does yield the effect you mentioned in class, but is not striking to view. I think you had a cool setup that could have yielded a better image had you worked it a little more. I think just using more light would have helped tremendously.

I like the side profile on this photo showing the jets. It looks a lot like jelly. I would crop it so the fluid was more full in the frame.

The image could be a bit brighter or better resolution. Other than that, cool flow physics.

I might argue that there was too much negative space around the outside of the flow. If the photo was taken a little closer I think the flow could be a little more resolved. I thought the choice of low contrast was interesting.

I like the depth of field and your description of the alien planet thing is cool, I think it would have been better purple again.

Nice apparatus, could use a bit more light but still captures the cool alien goo phenomena.

I like the darker feel to this image. The saran wrap gives a nice texture. Good detail in the flow.

Nice photo, the textures of the flow by reflective features as drawn out by your post processing is nice.

The flow you captured is really cool, and the focus is sharp. I would try to brighten up the photo and see how it looks.

it is cool how you can see the saran wrap moving with the speaker as well. This looks like someone just got shot and the blood is coming out.

The colors and brightness could be improved. I think some editing could help. The focus is not quite there. It is a bit grainy.
