    The music makes your solder video more tense. The smoke interacts with the soldering iron and droplet of solder. Maybe try soldering with a thicker strand of solder on an electronic board? It made me shudder to see it not stick to anything! I think the music made the soldering iron like some epic god.

    This video of watching soldering up close and slowed down is really cool. The black and white coloring effect was a good choice. Overall, good video edits to make the video interesting and appealing.

    This video is really great due to it being in slow motion and the overall clarity of it. It shows how a simple process like melting solder actually happens.

    Great framing, use of a greyscale color scheme, and choice of music. These things along with the surreal quality of the slow motion create an aesthetic which I enjoy. While it may have been an artistic choice, I would recommend shooting with a higher frame rate as it would eliminate the artifacting you see here and make the motion a lot smoother.

    I love the flow you chose to capture but I think it could be slightly more visible. maybe with a slow motion camera. Your aesthetic works well and I like your choice of music.

    The plumes of flux look awesome. The focus is good and the flow was captured well. Personally the low frame rate was a little distracting, but the dynamic was still quite mesmerizing.

    The way that the iron balls up into a smooth sphere is nice. It was a good choice to slow down the speed as well. Maybe try to crop some of the background to draw focus onto the subject.

    The close-up of the solder is interesting, I think maybe high speed would have been helpful in this application. It also is a little hard to see exactly what is going on because the focus is on a small section of the frame.

    I really like the color scheme, black and white was a good choice. I think the video could have benefitted from the use of a high speed camera to get a higher frame rate, which would have illustrated the flow a bit better. The focus and aperture were well selected i think.

    I like the composition a lot, with the reflection Midway through. I think the high speed detracts a bit from the visuals due to the frame rate, but otherwise it’s interesting to see the flow of the solder as it’s being heated.

    The black and white worked well for this image, and the focus was well done. It was a bit difficult to see what flow you were demonstrating, and the motion blur in the video was distracting to me.

    Great choice of music. Very upbeat and matches the intensity and anticipation of the solder. The black and white adds good effect to the intention of the video.

    The melting of the solder is satisfying to watch and your usage of dramatic music and framing of the action really intensifies the moment of oxidation.

    The reflection of the iron on the metal plate is really nice, so is the focus on the iron and the bead of metal. I love the music you paired with the video, it made an everyday application seem super dramatic.

    The first scene is a bit dizzying. The final shot is in beautiful and shows the solder and smoke from the solder very well.

    The idea is pretty cool. I like the reflection of the iron. The flow is pretty.
    I think the focus could be changed a bit so the iron and the smoke is easier to track with the eye.

    Great image and focus, although I don’t know if the music quite compliments this. (Yet again, I don’t know what would.)

    I think more frames per second would be extremely beneficial to a flow like this. Unfortunately, I can see why you might have trouble with something like that!

    Very dramatic music, kinda cool. The solder makes a nice stream of smoke which is nice. My only suggestion is more frames per second.

    The reflection of the solder iron in the surface is very cool. The black and white effect is nice, and the focus is really good. It is cool to see the smoke coming off of the solder.

    Music is nice, and the artistic intent is clear, however, perhaps focus more on the flow, the melted solder and off-gassing.

    Great video of an everyday application. The music pairs well with the video. More stabilization of the iron would take away some of the distraction.

    Interesting concept, I enjoyed the slow motion. However the movement of the solder is sort of distracting from what happens with the flow

    Really cool idea. Do you think slow mo would allow you to capture the flow better? I remember the welding video being backlit. Might be interesting to try for this.
