Ziwei Zhao//Cloud First

I took this picture at Boulder downtown on August 29th using iPhone 7 camera.
Aperture: ƒ/2.8
Exposure time: 1/120 sec
ISO: 20
As can be seen in the skewT map at that day, the altitude of the cloud is around 6700m, which means the cloud is cumulus. The CAPE is 93.71, it’s in unstable atmosphere.

Very cool photo, really interesting colors. Possibly cropping out the tree could increase focus on the clouds

Picture is a great display of Colorado sunsets. The colors transition so nicely from orange, red, to a dark purple very nicely.

The vivid colors really make this image pop. Nice job cropping and focusing to have the viewer focus right on the brightest areas of the clouds.

I love how well you were able to capture the reds and yelows that are so vibrant during sunsets. You can see a lot of contrast in the cloud which adds to effectiveness.

I like how it looks like the cloud is on fire in this picture. I think that one improvement would be to crop out the tree in the corner.

the colors in your image are very nice and I like how vibrant everything is, the only thing that I would recommend is to crop the tree out.

Great sunset picture, truly looks like a spreading fire! I would definitely crop the leaves out of the picture so that you only show the clouds since you didn’t capture a foreground.

  • I really like the color you were able to highlight in this photo! It is cropped well to show just the clouds.

This is a beautiful picture! Very nice lighting on the clouds, and you can see the details of the clouds very nicely. Just a reminder, you may want to make the image the feature image so it shows up on the main page.

  • The colors of this image are very nice! The bright pink mixed with purple and dark blue gives a nice contrast within the image. It might benefit from a little cropping to remove the tree within the lower corner.

I love the vibrant colors of this image. The only thing that might improve this incredible picture is cropping out the tree at the bottom right of the image. Great job with this image.
