2018 Fall Coulds First // Wenjin Li

Took the photo at night. Specs: 2s, F9, IOS640

I think it is stable cloud, stratocumulus. But on SkewT shows unstable. Below is the SkewT at the day.

I think this is my favorite photo. You captured the lighting in the center perfectly. It has such a creative animated feel to it!

I remember this night because it’s when we did our team first image. I was so tempted to take a photo but didn’t for some reason. I’m glad you did! It looks really nice and there’s no noise so it’s a very clean photo too!

Awesome picture! I really like the cropping and the very bright cloud against the inky black background. It looks like there is a small amount of motion blur so I would try adjusting your setup to reduce that but overall this is great.

Night cloud photos seem tricky but you really nailed it on this one. The gradient of light emanating from the moon makes it really ominous, and just adds a really cool effect. It’s also cool that it’s bright enough to shine through the cloud and illuminate the details of it.

I like that you took a photo at night instead of the day! I was interested in seeing if anyone would attempt it, and I think you achieved a quite interesting photo!

I love the darkness of this photo. This would be good artwork for an album cover

excellent night cloud photo. How did you get the purple in the clouds?

Love the coloring of the photo, the one cloud sticks out very nicely and adds an artistic feel to the picture.

  • This is amazing how you were able to capture just the one cloud! No other photo looks like this and it brings out some detail in the cloud that we can’t usually get.

  • Whoa, very dramatic image. I really like that you decided to go with a cloud picture at night instead of the typical daytime pictures. I love how bright the moon is and how some of the clouds almost look purple.

The lighting from the moon is really interesting, great job with this one. I think the only way to possibly improve this image would be to crop out some of the black of the image, to zoom in on the moon a bit more.
