Get Wet – Byron Pullutasig

These are the flames of burning wood around a campfire. The embers are drifting upward as a result of the wood being moved around its enclosure.

Did you crop the bottom to remove any obvious pieces of wood? I feel like it might be missing part of the flame at the bottom. Also, I would recommend cropping some of the right border to better center the flame (it skews a bit left right now). Otherwise, I like how you captured the complexity and different layers of the flame.

I like how the two little “Pappi” at the top looks like eyes. Kinda looks like a fire creature taking form.

I really like the sparks and how they draw some attention away from the large flame.

The focus on the flame is very nice, and the feeling of being next to a campfire is evoked with the little embers flowing around.

I love this image! It’s cool how you were able to capture the sparks like this and how we can interpret the wind direction just from looking at the picture.

Very cool photo, I like how the large flame is the focal point of the picture but the little sparks are also interesting to pay attention to. It almost looks like stars in a galaxy.

Awesome shot! Great capture of the embers. Gives a feeling of natural transition, almost has a Native American feel too it.

I really like this image and the shape of the flame . It is really cool that you can see the ember particulate in the image shooting up from the flame.

I love how you can see individual embers drifting off into the distance. I also like how the flame isn’t straight and it streaks across.

I think the embers makes your image really unique. That is often difficult to recreate, so it evokes feelings of camping trips and s’mores. I can smell this picture.

Capturing all of the sparks is really cool, and I think if you wanted to do that effect but even better you could have a quicker shutter speed.

I love how clear this image is! If you want it to be even clearer, with less movement to the flame (crisp, flame frozen in time), try lowering your shutter speed (having a quicker shutter speed).
