The coloration reminds of me a dust storm or cloud of smoke coming up over the trees.
This reminds me of a dust storm (like on Mars). This photo is very unique, specifically the color of the cloud. It looks almost as if the edges of the cloud have merged with the surroundings.

What post processing did you do to the image? It reminds me of a smoke cloud from a fire, which is neat next to the snow on the leaves.
