This image was taken near Mitchell Lake in the Indian Peaks Wilderness area on September 30th, 2021 around 11:00 am. The clouds seen are a combination of cumulus and Altocumulus stratiformis. The CAPE value was zero at 6:00 am the morning that this image was taken. I was drawn to take this image by the stair-like appearance of the clouds leading up to the sun.
