Cloud Second — Austin Sommars

Cloud Second — Austin Sommars

This image features clouds viewed from near my home in Boulder, Colorado facing southwest at 12:08 PM. I was riding my bike to campus for the flow vis class when I took this image!
I chose this image because I really loved the layered appearance of the clouds. The categorization of this formation would be stratocumulus due to its altitude and layered appearance. I took this photo on my iPhone 13 Pro wide-angle lens, at a distance of 2 or 3 miles. The focal length was 5.7 mm, with an aperture of 1.5 and an ISO of 50. The original image was 4032×3024 and the cropped image is 2699×1300.

Great job capturing the texture of the clouds, I also like how you included some of the sky. The interface where the clouds end is very cool to see.
