Clouds Second – Sarah Hartin

This image was taken November 26th at 10:42 AM, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I took this image shortly after take off on my flight back to Colorado after Thanksgiving. At this point in the flight, we had not reached the full elevation so we were between two layers of clouds. I really like how in the image, the bottom layer of clouds almost looks like the ocean.

In this image, the lower layer of clouds are stratocumulus clouds and the top layer are cirrostratus undulatus clouds.

This is an awesome photo. I love the idea of taking a picture while you were on a plane. It seems like you were almost in between two layers of cloud formations.

This is a really cool photo as it shows all sorts of cloud formations at varying altitudes. I also wouldn’t have guessed that it was from an airplane although it makes sense for so many different types of clouds. Well done!
