This image was taken on August 27th, 2025, 7:43pm at the intersection of Baseline Rd. and the Williams Village parking lot entrance (39°59’59.2″N 105°14’54.0″W). I was facing NNW and took the photo approximately 15° above the horizon. The clouds seen here are mainly Altocumulus, but the left side shows some Stratocumulus formations. These formations indicate a “conditionally stable” atmosphere, where the majority is stable but there is a region of higher moisture or temperature changes that cause the clouds to be somewhat lumpy and not just flat.

I like how the utility line frames your picture, it gives a good sense of scale for the clouds.

Statement of meaning: This image has a lot of great divisions to me. The blue sky bisects the upper and lower halves and the light and dark clouds are bisected on a diagonal. The contrast in this image is really great.
