2025 Get Wet

This video is comprised of two different videos taken on the same day. Both videos depict wind blowing over an art installation in front of the Drescher Undergraduate Engineering ITLL Building. The art installation is comprised of sequins mounted such that they blow freely in the wind, and the light reflected off of the moving sequins reveals structure in the wind that can be seen during the daytime.

    I like how the ripples moving almost like waves in water, that the framing that fills the screen. What phenomenon do you think is being shown (beyond just wind) and what is going on with the physics that makes these “wave fronts” move like this and in the direction from the top left to the bottom right in some cases?
