This photo was taken on September 8th at 6:59pm facing West on Pearl St. in Boulder. The picture shows stratocumulus or cumulus clouds over the Flatirons. An hour before this photo was taken, the sky was covered with dark storm clouds.

From the Skew-T, the atmosphere was stable.

Those stratocumulus/cumulus leftovers over the Flatirons make sense after a stormy hour earlier. You can still see the remnants of the system even though it’s starting to clear out.
