This photo was taken from an airplane over Haswell Colorado, on September 17th 2025 at 10:41am . The nearest sounding station from The University of Wyoming is Dodge City (DDC). I have included the appropriate Skew-T Diagram Below along with the original image. Looking at the example line shown the atmosphere is mostly stable, with some instability from 600 – 300 hPa. After looing at and comparing to images from the international cloud atlas I believe that these clouds are altocumulus undulatus.

Woah! Great post processing to emphasize the clouds. I like how you were able to grab a pic from an airplane window because the view is so much better. The crop is great as well and you did a very good job of making sure all plane stuff was out of view. I was just in a plane today and saw something simiualr.
I really like the aerial view and the way that the clouds are almost identically patterned.
Your post processing really helps to visualize the clouds. It also helps the clouds right along the horizon to pop out more. What type of clouds do you think those ones are?
