This image is an exported frame from a video taken of the exhaust backfire of a road bike, which shows the laminar flow of the ignited gas turning into turbulent flow as it wisps away from the central combustion zone. The blue comes from the chemical makeup of the gas, combined with lots of oxygen and very hot and efficient combustion. All safety concerns were followed.
