This photo was taken September 22nd, 2025 at 9:55am MDT. This was taken near the parking garage by the CU Boulder engineering center at 40.00733°N, 105.26000°W, while I was facing Northwest (as can be seen from the pre-cropped image). The lower section of the clouds appear to be stratocumulus, while the higher portion of the cloud appears to be altocumulus and lenticular clouds. The atmosphere for this cloud appears to be slightly unstable.

I really like the saturation of the blue and the white. I think the minimal editing was powerful for this image.
Nice picture Hannah! I like the smoothed over top of the cloud in the middle of your picture. I think that you could be correct with your lenticular cloud identification, especially if it was located near the mountain range.
Wow! What a cloud! The lenticular cloud at the top is very smooth and its great you were able to capture such a phenomenon. I really enjoy your post processing and your choice to crop out the bottom. While I generally like to see context of the ground, in this case it adds value to get rid of it because it does not add to the picture because the artificial street lights etc. Good job
