William Ball

Today I took a picture of some altostratus clouds. They appear to have some virga coming out from the bottom. This is an indication of unsteady weather patterns. These clouds were about 5 km above the ground.

    The virga here are subtle but it was cool that you captured it! The color gradient here is beautiful; if you wanted, you could add a little more saturation to make the sky pop more, but the image looks great as-is too.

    Hi William,
    I think this picture is very interesting. I like how the virga are streaking/less defined, but the upper clouds have crisp, defined outlines. I really like the gradient of the sky in this.
