Ember Pathlines from Campfire Disturbance

Ember Pathlines from Campfire Disturbance

Image depicting pathlines of fire particles. Achieved by disturbing a fire with a stick, moving the logs therefore releasing embers, which was captured with a magnified lens. Assisted by Sebastian Damm, who operated the stick, and Weston Robbins, who started the fire. All combustion safety measures were followed.

Awesome visualization of the particle trajectories — you can really see how the sparks curve and separate as they cool.

This image has a fantastic glow and good forms. I’m also also curious about the thin streaks coming off the ember in the upper middle.
