Imaging & Setup
The experiment was filmed using a Canon EOS R50 equipped with the RF 50 mm macro lens. Video was captured in Full HD (1080p) at 120 fps using the high-frame-rate slow-motion mode. Post-processing was performed in Adobe Express, where contrast and timing were adjusted. Stock music: “Inspiring Trip Hop Is” by Adobe Express was used in the final video.
Physical Phenomena
This flow experiment and visualization captures the behavior of oobleck, a non-Newtonian cornstarch–water mixture in a 2 : 1 ratio. green glitter particles were added as tracers to reveal flow motion and shear zones. Under stress, the mixture transitions from fluid to solid-like, and the glitter highlights regions of localized jamming and surface deformation. Stock music: “Inspiring Trip Hop Is” by Adobe Express was used in the final video.
