The interaction between two fluids: a glycerin-water mixture (clear) and a diluted food dye mixture (blue). When these two fluids meet, descending jets/fingers will form as the diluted food dye breaks through the glycerin-water layer. However, these tendrils will form into blob-like parcels and rise back through the clear fluid as the buoyancy force pushes the less dense blue fluid back to the surface.

Great video Alana! I wonder if we could have diffused the light from the LED panel better so the background is more homogeneous. However, it does add more to the artistic background pattern!
