Luke Freyhof – Rising Bubbles

Luke Freyhof – Rising Bubbles

This video shows bubbles rising through a glycerin-water mixture. Concentrated purple dye was added to the pipette tip that created the bubbles. As the bubbles rose to the surface of the liquid, they brought some of the purple dye with them.

“Railroad’s Whiskey Co” by Jahzzar was included as the soundtrack to this video. This song was licensed with CC BY-SA 3.0, so this video also has the same license.

I really like the choice to playback at a slower speed so help highlight some of the motion.

    Hi Luke,
I really like this visualization. I think it’s really interesting how the bubble displaces the dye as it rises through it. Great work!

I think the frame rate you chose for playback speed really emphasized the flow phenomenon well.

I love the overall effect that your video has with the blue background. Being able to see the bubbles slowly rising is such a cool phenomenon to capture, great job Luke!
