This is an altocumulus lenticularis cloud photographed during sunrise from the top of Mount Bross (14,178 ft). This cloud was identified through the skew-t plot indicating its altitude of ~16,000 ft, as well as a stable atmosphere. Visually, the cloud has very smooth edges (sunrise lighting makes it hard to see) which indicates a lenticularis effect. The mountain ranges are causing the air to flow up and down due to the mountain geometry, causing the water vapor in the air to condense when it reaches certain altitudes and creating this smooth cloud effect.
