This photograph is one of many that Megan took during an abstract photography session. More pictures, as well as the setup instructions for her experiment, can be found here: https://bit.ly/2luG4Ke. By using water, oil, and dish soap, she was able to exemplify how dissimilar substances interact with one another. These interactions were enhanced by her use of vibrant and colorful background materials, which allows the viewer to see the boundaries between fluids more clearly. I chose this image because while it’s setup and execution were relatively simple, to me it was a good example of the basic principles we had started discussing in the first week of class.
