I think this is a beautiful image of a phytoplankton bloom in the Gulf of Aden. Nicole Sharp discusses this photo in her blog F**k Yeah Fluid Dynamics, and how the bloom of these plankton help visualize the mixing and flow of these different coastal regions. I think it is an awesome natural piece of art.
