Good, wide frame to show what was going on across nearly the entire front range.
I love how you can see the rays of light beaming through the clouds. The contrast looks good too
This was a great photo. I would like to see what it would look like if you were to bump up the contrast a little. Good work!
Like how you have the mountains in the photo, it gives the image a nice framing effect. Really like the clouds in this photo.
I love this image! I like the way the mountains are still included at the bottom of the images, but there’s no question the main focus is to the sky. There are so many colors in the clouds even though the sun hasn’t really set yet. The sky has a large variety of shade changes in the blues. But perhaps my favorite part of the image is the sun’s rays beaming through the clouds to the south. Overall, great job!
– This photo is nicely done, the mountain range doesn’t consume most of the photo which is nice.
– I would try some post processing to see if you can get a little more color to pop out of the photo to make it appear like how you saw it in real life.
A classic Colorado scene. You left just the right amount of mountain in the bottom of the frame for my taste. You may try to recover some more details in the brightest clouds.
I like the mountains in the photo, they provide a nice contrast to the sky and the colors are very cool.
I really like how this image shows a huge range of colors. The contrast is really brought out by the yellow clouds, blue skies, and the white clouds.
This is a great macro scale perspective of this formation. The focus is crisp but gets a little lost in the color saturation from the sunshine. The two different layers are especially appealing to me, one can see how the lower cloud formations have different depth and density than the upper cloud formations.
1. The image is really artistically amazing- the clouds are beautiful, and the rays of sunlight shining through in the background combined with the rays highlighting the clouds in the foreground is wonderful.
2. The flow is clearly demonstrated.
3. The photographic technique is nice.
The contrast is amazing and there is a mellow yellow color from the sun at the horizon. The flow is clearly seen and great image.
The light shining through the bottom left of the clouds creates a cool look on the mountains. I really like the subtle yellow in the back set of clouds.
This is an awesome photo! I love how the clouds are so thick and fluffy. I love the darkness under the clouds, gives it really nice contrast. I love the little yellow hues peeking in and the mountain range at the bottom is a beautiful border.
Art: I really like the color gradient of the clouds and the darker tones of the background.
Flow: The flow is quickly understandable and easily recognized.
Photographic technique: The focus of the Clouds is great, especially with the large depth of field that is involved in this piece.
I like how you kept the mountains in the image because then you can really understand the actual frame of these clouds. Did you try waiting like 20 minutes to capture the full effect of the sunset? Because I think this would make this image even better.
Nice range of lighting from yellow to bright white, and it contrasts well with the shadows on the bottom side of the clouds. The mountain silhouette on the bottom adds nicely to the image. Well focused very crisp image with good depth of field.
Great picture of clouds developing in front of the mountains. Nice contrast range and like the strip of mountains at the very bottom of the image.
The mountains at the bottom of the photo are a nice framing feature, the textures of the clouds are nicely crisp, and well represented. The wide angle is really nice, you can really see a lot.
It’s interesting to see how everything below the clouds is dark while the sky above is completely blue. It makes for a very visually appealing image.
I love how you still have the mountains in the image. It looks gorgeous how the clouds are lit on top and dark on the bottom. Maybe next time add more contrast. Wonderful work!
Great wide image. A lot of texture and detail in the clouds. The shadows on the bottom of the clouds contrast well with the bright blue sky and bright whites on the top of the clouds.
Art: I really like the light shining from behind the clouds helping illuminate them
Flow: Contrast helps make the clouds very clear from the rest of the image
Photographic Technique: Great use of space with the mountains at the very bottom
great image to capture such a wide field of view and the whole range of mountains. I like the way that the sun comes through in the corner and you can follow the rays through the could.
This image perfectly captures the clouds we often see on the front range, with the dark bottoms and illuminated tops. This photo feels very familiar to me as a result. The streaks of sunlight in the bottom left of the image is nice as well, which gives a good third color to compliment the whites and blues in the rest of thie image.
The photo shows the large scale of cumulus clouds. Surprising color of the clouds!
I like the colors that are present in the different areas of the image. Some of the detail is lost in the really bright areas. I love that the front range is included for perspective. Really cool.
I like the large scale frame of the photo. Great coverage. I would suggest playing with the exposure of the photo/camera, seems like several parts are over exposed or “blownout”.
