Purple happens to be my favorite color, so I may be biased when I say that it really makes the image. The smoke plumes are interesting and so detailed. The focus is really nice.

Art: The contrast between the background and the smoke, I do enjoy the use of purple to highlight the smoke.
Flow: The flow is quickly understandable and recognized.
Photographic technique: The focus and the shutter speed that was used in this piece is great.

Very interesting shapes in the smoke plume and the purple color makes the image more interesting. It’s too bad the background wasn’t isolated from the subject in these photos.

The framing of the smoke was on point. Well done there. I also enjoy the fact that you chose to use purple. It employs a royal feel to it as if we are in an Egyptian temple. With that said, the black background is the icing on the cake for this image. The flow of the plume is not too fluid to be unnoticeable, and it is just clear enough to catch details in the swirl of the center. I enjoyed seeing this artistic image. Super great job.

The purple color is really making the smoke mysterious! Good focal length and excellent post-processing.

You managed to capture the depth and 3D folds in the smoke very well in this image. The purple hue adds to the contrast and lends to the mood of the image.

I have taken pictures of similar things and i know how difficult it is. I also used flash but put the backdrop very far away and it seemed to help. I still think the image came out very well and the focus is obviously very good. The purple hint is very cool and works well with the smoke.

Really nice photo. I appreciate the amount of post processing that you did to the image. I think it all adds to the photo. It almost looks like the smoke itself is emitting light.

Nice photo, good clean crisp lines in the smoke, post processing looks like it made a pretty big difference. I like the coloring and the fade into black on the edges.

The focus on the incense smoke is impressively crisp and makes the image. I like the choice to color the image purple and the rolling spiral in the middle of the image. Good work!

Awesome color in the smoke. Nice relaxing image. No distracting elements. Great detail and focus on the smoke. Cropping out part of the blank space on the left would help center the image and draw more attention to the flow of the smoke.

Very nice focus on the smoke. I like that you edited the color, you can still see the flow phenomena nicely and the purple is a nice touch.

I like the purplish tint on the smoke because it adds a different feel from the standard gray smoke. You might want to try and crop the sides just a tad, I think it adds just too much negative space.

really cool image of the curls contained within the photo. I like how you made the smoke purple to give the photo a unique feel. Nice work with the lighting and post processing to make the background become completely dark.
