Cirrus clouds look like a feather over the mountains just west of Boulder, Colorado, on November 8, 2016. Image taken from Sustainability, Energy, and Environment Complex (SEEC) on the University of Colorado Boulder’s East Campus, facing due west at 4:53 pm. One contrail in the image as well.

The soft colors and silhouetted features of this photo bring a very warm quality to it. Very impressive and I like the composition that is added from the contrail on the left side.
I love the colors! The soft tones contrast nicely with the silhouette of the mountains. The clouds are also interesting in that they look like they were painted on the sky.
Great sunlight coming from behind the mountain. Gives great visual flow. I like how the mountain is completely dark.
Art: I really like the color contrast of the wispy clouds against the dark tones of the mountains.
Flow: The flow is quickly understandable and easily recognized.
Photographic technique: The focus of the clouds is great especially with the softer edges of the clouds.
very pretty pastel colors in the sky, the stark black mountain is a great contrast to them. Post processing is really well done! Beautiful clear picture.
The foreground and bottom layer are just low enough that the mountains don’t take up too much of the screen. I do agree; I enjoy the cloud that looks like a feather as well. I enjoy seeing the colors blend in to one another and the light dancing off the clouds that are still lingering over horizon. I am curious as whether the image could have had its color balanced out or played with in post. I’m not saying not adding anything in post makes the image bad, but utilizing Photoshop to play around with the colors could have made the image better. Nicely done here.
Interesting photo. I really like the lighting from the sunset and how it pairs with the mountains.
The high contrast is really wonderful. And the light orange color is beautiful. Good exposure as well.
Great capture of the contrails and thin clouds in the sunset. The blacked out mountains add a nice touch.
1. Lovely artistic image with a great display of contrails.
2. The physics are well shown.
3. The photographic technique is very nice.
I think you have done a great job in capturing the outlines of the mountains. I think my favorite part of the image is the dark orange on the right side of the image that borders the mountains. Very interesting that it has such a different tone than the rest of the image.
Very aesthetic cloud formations, you did a good job cleaning out the building features from the image shown. The whites/yellows seem a little bit saturated on my screen but not as much on the projector.
Nice work in post processing to remove some distracting objects. This is a cool view of the flatirons with some nice colors illuminating the silhouette of the mountains.
Nice capture of these interesting cloud structures. I really like the vibrant colors and the silhouette of the mountains, nice Photoshop work removing parts of the building.
beautiful image . I like the dark orange in the bottom left. Good focus !
Cool Photo, seems like there are a lot of things going on but nothing is particularly distracting. I like the outline of the horizon against the sky. The colors are great and the focus is good!
Beautiful color and contrast. Nice thin clouds. No distracting elements. Great job.
I think the silhouettes of the mountains really add to the image and the colors of the sunset are stunning.
The mountain silhouettes are nice. The color saturation of the clouds is excellent. The clouds in the lower right though seem a bit out of place.
Nice sunset photo. Interesting cloud textures here!
