Get Wet- Cyron Completo

The flow shown is the result of a drop of red food coloring dropping into water inside of an extra-large wine glass. The flow shows how a fluid might spread outwards upon colliding with another fluid.

Amazing how you got the seeming explosion in the middle – it was actually a reflection on the air / water interface. I think the lighting could use more contrast.

The red color against the clear water and light background makes for a good contrast. Cool depiction of fluid flow with the red food dye in the wine glass full of water. Did you think about using more colors? Overall, really cool photo.

The contrast between the ink and the water makes the image appear as if it should be in a hospital. I really enjoy the curvature of the glass and how the red forms into a cross.

Perfect focus! The use of red was very effective because it sticks out very well!

  • I like how bright the red is, it makes it look very strong inside the water. The angle of the shot also is a good choice, it makes the photo more interesting to look at when you look at it from the bottom.

This is a really intriguing photo. I like the way the red sort of explodes away from its main stream in the middle. The focus looks great.

This is beautiful. The middle part where the fluid is more horizontal make it pretty interesting. I wonder what caused that to happen.

Great color with cool phenomena. I love the crytal color of water. I like how the shape looks like a reflection just using a single drop of a food dye.

Very interesting flow, I think the large glass shows more flow than a small glass. Good focus, the reflection is a little distracting. Overall great job.

It is really interesting how it looks like the dye is colliding with itself.

    Nice! I like it
    Flow
Nice! The diffusion-dominated mixing is shown well.
    Photographic Technique:
There’s a lot of glare, it was a little distracting. You might want to crop the picture—you captured the dye really nicely and in-focus. The line confused me.

Very interesting image that shows the diffusion behavior of food coloring. Reflections around the edges are a bit distracting, and it’s a bit hard to parse what is happening in terms of what is occurring where and what is reflecting off of what.

The colors and fluid effects are very cool. Some of the reflections and lighting around the image give it a very abstract feel.

I really like how the lighting creates the illusion of the dye being reflected. Excellent choice using the red color to bring out the vividness between the two fluids. Excellent focus.

It’s difficult to disentangle what’s happening in the flow. The way the food coloring diffuses is really beautiful.

The way the dye spreads out in the middle is very interesting, and the red coloring helps highlight this flow. The cropping and focus is well done.

i think this image has a lot of potential, however there are a couple bluish reflections on the glass that clash a bit with the color of the background. The flow is well demonstrated though.

Interesting to see the flow expand and dissipate in axial directions. It’s as if the fluid derives from the center and reflects.

Interesting image, it looks like there are several distinct regions, when there aren’t. The fluid flow itself this and is captured nicely. It’s hard to believe there’s no reflection here, but I do. Very strange and cool flow.

I really like the reflection of the color off of the top of the glass. The symmetry is awesome. The lighting is a little off, but exposure and focus look great.

Really cool how the fluids interact, and the red dye contrasts with the image. I like the transition layers. I might suggest a different backgound.

It’s amazing how symmetrical this turned out. The way the white comes through the fluid really makes the red stand out. I think this could benefit from a little bit of cropping, but it’s not necessary.

Nice coloring, but the reflection seems like it splits the image into two sections. Not sure if that was a choice, but it could be either more accentuated or removed if that was not the intent.

I love the colors in this image. The figure reminds me of a big phoenix or something. The exposure managed to capture a simple mixing of fluids. I think the setting detracts a bit from the image, so maybe a briger or darker background rather than a neutral beige/white.

It’s a very nice demonstration of flow, I think it could use some more colors to really make it pop. Also cropping out the edges of the bag would put more emphasis on the flow.

I really enjoy this image because it sort of imitates some sort of cosmic event occurring (like a nebula) and the color of the food coloring was clever. Overall, great image and everything is in focus.
