Yousef Shashtari Clouds First March 4th

Yousef Shashtari Clouds First March 4th

This image was taken on March 4th, 2018 in Boulder, CO. I think the clouds represent cumulus type, since they were puffy and they had the cotton-like shape.

The foreground in this image is a little distracting, but the mountains add some good texture to the image. The dark sky is really captivating.

Nice composition, but I would change the colors in the image. Overall nice image though.

Good image, I like the sun shining through the clouds. I would consider increasing the contrast to darken the foreground.

I like the ominous feel of the clouds. Maybe just focus on the part where the sun isn’t there? Also, maybe the get rid of the brown foreground or make it darker?

Nice job. I like the contrast in the picture. It does look foreboding, almost like a storm is approaching.

The sun shinning right through is really nice. I enjoy the trees adding a boarder around the mountains and bottom of the image.

Do you think the shutter speed could be increased to improve the time resolution?

This image is gloomy and sad due to the grays and the relative darkness of the scene. I like how you chose to include the Sun poking through the clouds in order to add an element of “hope” to the scene. I can see the textures of the clouds due to the variation of grays.

It looks like a storm brewing. Although the cloud peeking through shows that the cloud is not that thick.

The different shades of clouds is good. The image seems a bit grainy, and the contrast could be bumped down at bit.

Really digging the darkness of this image, although I might have my screen contrast low since it looks a lot more enhanced on the projector. You might stretch the contrast a bit to make the other colors pop a bit more, depending on the image you want to portray.

I think you might be able to get some of the distracting foreground out of the image.

The sun streaming through the clouds is a really cool effect. I like the color balance a lot. There is a bit of blotchiness towards the left of the foreground though.

Love the mood this image has. Nice coloring on that pine tree in the right corner – super vibrant green.

I like the darker cloud formation in this photo. Did you bring the highlights way down? The sun looks almost artificial, maybe consider bringing highlights up just to give less of an emphasis on the sun.

I like that you captured the sun beaming through the massive blanket of billowy clouds. Good focus

Really cool photo. I like the blue glare that breaks off from the sun’s rays.
