Smoke billowing from an incense stick. The particles shine brightly when the light source is placed below the smoke. Vibrations in the incense stick, combined with air turbulence in the room cause the smoke to billow.

I love how laminar the flow is in this image. The framing of it also great, I like how there’s no other distracting pieces in the background.
This is a really great dynamic photo! The diagonal angle of the composition and the contrast between the subject and the background really make this photo pop. I really like that you can even see the finer particles within the smoke.
The contrast in this picture is so cool! I really like the tube-like structures in the smoke so you get a really good sense of how the smoke was moving and turning.
I like the contrast between the light smoke and the dark background. The tendrils of smoke are very clear and the geometry is really interesting. This seems really well thought out!
This is insane. I think Abdul mentioned it a little bit but in a way the framing of the photo almost tells a story of the smoke and that is awesome. In addition to that, the capture of the instability occurring in the smoke is very impressive. Nice!
I really like how the smoke is concentrated in the bottom left and becomes light and wispy in the top right. It’s almost as if we are traveling with the still image.
2nd Place. I really like the black and white capture. It clearly shows the contrast between the smoke and the black background. The lighting is perfect and it has a very sleek look.
