IV4 || Ben Carnicelli

This is the slow motion ignition of lighter fluid poured over a glass bowl. Unfortunately the initial few frames got corrupted and weren’t able to be included in the final but the first few seconds of film show the layer difference between the lighter fluid and the water.

    I love this photo, but I think the whites are a little overblown. Nothing hard to fix. Other than that, the video looks great!

    The playback speed was chosen excellently, there’s something really satisfying about watching the flames move chaotically yet so slowly.

    The cropping in the beginning of the video makes it appear as if the flame is sideways which is cool.

    Seeing the shapes of the fire in slow mo is really cool, and the radial shape of the whole flame is really beautiful.

    The intro to this video is gorgeous. I love being able to see the interaction between the flame and the fuel source. It is such a unique perspective.

    I love how bright and vibrant this video is. The flame is so bright and colorful filling the whole frame. Too bad the first frames were corrupted, but it is still magnificent.

    I like how you can see the fuel and the reflection of the flames in the fuel. I think it adds a lot of depth and context to the video.
