Ferrofluid is a fluid that has magnetic particles suspended in a liquid. When this liquid is magnetized, it takes the shape of the magnetic waves and acts as a solid as opposed to a liquid. For this experiment, we magnetized ferrofluid and photograph the magnetic waves.

I really like how bright and shiny the ferrofluid looks in your picture. The natural light really helps show the spikes in the fluid.

I think that using natural light was a great idea and it helped make the image more dynamic, adding some shades of yellow to some of the spikes on the left of the fluid. Very nice image composition

    Hi Peter
The diffused outdoor lighting was a great choice for the shot, and the image looks crisp and offers good depth of field. I would suggest trying out a monochrome filter in post-processing to see if it adds to the aesthetic.
    Nice work!
