Vortex Illuminated by Blue LED

Vortex Illuminated by Blue LED

This image shows a vortex illuminated by a blue LED, which was created by a ZeroBlaster vortex generator. You can the nozzle of the vortex generator along with the illuminating LED in the right side of the image. The vortex generator uses stage fog and and an electric current to create the fog. Around the nozzle there is a faint outline of excess fog escaping.

Permissioned opinion: I think it would’ve been better if the focus was more on the vortex ring rather than on the vortex generator.

My question from the critique: Did you consider trying to capture this flow phenomenon using video or slow motion?

My comment from critique: I like that the composition includes the canon, the vortex, and some of the non-vortex smoke remaining behind which provides nice context for the progression of events.

Its really interesting to see the flow that is left behind the vortex ring. It shows how the vortex propagates through space.
